Points North new CD, new tour!

...
Points North

“Points North” is the self-titled, second album by this primarily instrumental rock band. Spearheaded by guitarist Eric Barnett (a finalist in Guitar Player magazine's Guitar Superstar competition), bassist Uriah Duffy (Whitesnake) and drummer Kevin Aiello, Points North stands on the shoulders of iconic artists Rush, Cream, The Police and Dixie Dregs - but expands upon these influences and clearly cuts its own artistic path.

Points North is thrilled to announce our official CD release party and celebration for our recently recently self-titled second album on Magna Carta Records!
This will be the biggest, most important Points North show ever - so we're pulling out ALL the stops to make this a once in a lifetime experience - from VIP and red carpet, to special guests, to some of the Bay Area's absolute finest joining us on stage to make for an evening you won't forget.
A VERY LIMITED number of special VIP tickets are available.
VIP guests will be entitled to:
- A buffet dinner with the band
- Meet & greet and hang with Points North & our special guests
- Exclusive VIP memorabilia available ONLY at this show
- A red carpet photo session with the band

We'll be playing a full headline set, leaning heavily on the new record with a new set and show, and with special guests (to be announced here...)
On top of that, we've stacked the bill with our friends, as we like to do, and we hope you'll be as excited as we are...as direct support, the East Bay's own rising stars Pushing the Sun, who we've played with many times, bringing their high energy rock and roll to the party. Opening the show, one of Uriah's oldest friends and bandmates, Jesse Brewster Music, a truly talented singer-songwriter in his return back from death's door, saved only by the love of his wife (and her kidney): http://abc7news.com/health/wife-gives-husband-battling-kidney-disease-sweet-valentines-gift/515601/

Closing the night will be the party band of all party bands, the one and only Hot For Teacher - The Van Halen Experience, with even more special guests and surprises.
And if this wasn't enough, hosting the show will be the lovely and charismatic Bay Area radio personality Nikki Blakk’s Metal Zone - she's been both a friend and an amazing supporter of Points North, and it's an honor to have her on board.
General admission tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, available directly through the venue, and are highly recommended.
Bay Area, we can't wait to celebrate with you, at our biggest show ever of what's shaping up to be our biggest year ever too. And if you're from out of town (where we usually play opening sets) and have ever thought about coming to see us headline, this would be the show to travel for.
Onwards and upwards!

Every year at NAMM in Southern California, one of the highlights of the show is the "Randy Rhoads Remembered" show, where top guitarists join forces with an all star band in paying tribute to the late, great Randy Rhoads.  Well, this year, they are taking the show on the road, and we're honored to be opening two shows in Southern California.  Featuring Phil Demmel (Machine Head), Jeff Watson (Night Ranger), Tracii Guns (LA Guns), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake), and Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake), this show promises to be a must see.
