Points North live in 2015

February 20, 2015
Cafe Colonial
3520 Stockton Blvd
Sacramento, CA
7 PM

So how is it that we've never played Sacramento? Well, fired up from an amazing weekend at The NAMM Show, and on the cusp of releasing our new record, it's finally time to rectify that situation!

Also performing will be Sacramento artists Stalking Distance and Justin Forcione, and from Portland comes Hopeless Jack & the Handsome Devil.

(And thanks to promoter extraordinaire Jessica Wabbit of Soundz of NorCal for inviting us to help her celebrate her birthday!)

All ages too!

It's been a while, but we're finally spinning back up our alter-ego, Fred Barchetta: A Tribute to Rush by Points North.  As always, joined by the lovely Kristina VanAmburgh on vocals, we'll be playing a full extended set of Rush songs.  Headlining the night will be Custard Pie, playing all your favorite Led Zeppelin songs, and featuring  Dave Lopez (Flipsyde), Phill Bennett (Starship), and Chris  Kontos (ex-Machine Head).  And opening will be our good friends from the East Bay, original band Pushing the Sun.  Not to be missing; tickets available from the Slim's box office by clicking here.

OPENING FOR PAT TRAVERS

Playing with Gary Hoey at the Rockbar was an amazing time, and we're excited that it looks like the first of many shows there for us.  Up next?  Reconnecting with long time friends Pat Travers as they come to town, ready to burn the roof off the place.  We'll be direct support for what promises to be a night full of high energy rock and roll.

OPENING FOR PAT TRAVERS

We're excited to be joining Pat Travers for three dates on this West Coast run, and this time we're heading to points FAR north - to Seattle!  We're incredibly excited to make some new friends at what we hear is a really cool venue, for what we hope will be the first trip of many to our northernmost city.  Also on the bill, Seattle band Palooka.  Advance discount tickets available directly from Studio Seven by clicking here.

And speaking of returning to venues to play with friends, this will be our third time at the Tonic Lounge, and our second time with Pat Travers.  The last show was a sellout, and helped introduce us to the amazing audiences in Portland - and vice versa!  We can't wait to head to, well, points north, once again!

OPENING FOR AL DI MEOLA

We kind of think the Rockbar is going to become our new home away from home...this will be our third show there, and will undoubtedly be one of the hottest of the year - opening for the one and only Al Di Meola.  We've played with him in Southern California, but never close to home - and based on our experiences, expect a packed house and a show to remember, as Al is one of the instrument's true greats, a legend in every sense of the world.  We'll be opening, followed (in a reprisal of our first big show opening for Michael Schenker back at the late Last Day Saloon in Santa Rosa) by the uber-talented Doug Doppler.

Tickets available directly from the Rockbar Theater by clicking here. This show will sell out; advance tickets highly recommended!
